Our first Christmas "Together" and Whopper Virgins

Being the smart shoppers that we are, Kenny and I finished all of our Christmas shopping a little after thanksgiving. Yup, we beat the crowds and hardly had to step foot in a mall during the competitive holiday shopping season. So for the whole month before Christmas we played the guessing game of trying to figure out what we got each other.

Here were my guesses:
1. Cookware (I really thought he would get me pots and pans)
2. Purse
3. Umbrella

Kenny's guesses:
1. g shock watch
2. shoes
3. stussy sweater

Due to cabin fever from being snowed in, we decided to cheat and open our presents a few days before Christmas:

The only guess that i got right was the umbrella and Kenny guessed 3 for 3. Which, really, doesn't prove much except that some people are a lot less suttle at clueing the other person in what they want for Christmas.

In other news, my dear bestfriend of 10 + years and roommate, Jazmin, is turning 26 January 11th. In all the 26 years that she's been alive she has never tasted the grilled to perfection quarter-pound (113.4 g) beef patty on sesame seed bun topped with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and sliced onion-- better known as the Whopper--menu item number 1. Yes, its been confirmed she has been deprived her whole life and she is also what Burger King likes to call a whopper virgin.

So for her Birthday I'm taking her to Burger King for her first taste test. I can't wait to see her reaction and how she will finally get what I've been raving about all these years. But more importantly, I think this experience will help her understand the reactions of her brothas and sistas during the whopper freakout where they redacted the whopper from the Burger King menu for a day.
