During my junior year of college I stayed at Odegard library all night trying to finish a programming assignment. Programming was never one of my favorite classes--the whole algorthrim behind boolean phrases, if, then statements frustrated the hell out of me. What would probably take an average programmer to do in 2 hours; probably took me 8 hours to do. Needless to say I struggled in that class.
So after 8 hours of programming all night I finally finish the assignment and turn it in. Its 6 am-- I am tired and beyond frustrated from the assignment. I drive home and without even changing I collapse into my bed. I fall asleep for 10 minutes and then my mom comes into my room.
Mom: (Standing at my bedroom door getting ready to leave for work, in her thick filipino accent) Where were you last night?
Me: I was at the library mom, working on an assignment.
Mom: (thick filipino accent) You were at the library or the LOVE-ARY?
Me: Mom, WHAT?? Are you serious? I was at the library.
Mom: Rrrremember (scolding and waving her pointer finger)...Boys are for Inspiration, not PERSPIRATION!
Me: What? Oh my god mom, are you kidding me?
Mom: gives me the eye and leaves for work
Filipino moms are effin GANSTA!
